Orange Ricotta Pancakes
Creamy, citrusy, slightly sweet and bready without being too heavy.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz bourbon (or aged rum for a softer touch)
- 0.75 oz fresh orange juice
- 0.5 oz lemon juice
- 0.75 oz maple syrup (or vanilla syrup for a more "pancake" vibe)
- 1 tablespoon fresh ricotta
- 1 dash orange bitters (optional)
- Egg white (for foam, optional but recommended)
- Ice
Optional Garnish
- Orange zest or brûléed orange slice
- Dusting of cinnamon or nutmeg
- Mini pancake skewer (if you want to go all in)
Instructions
- In a shaker, add bourbon, orange juice, lemon juice, syrup, ricotta, and egg white (if using).
- Dry shake (without ice) vigorously to emulsify.
- Add ice and shake again until well chilled and frothy.
- Fine strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.
- Garnish with orange zest or spice dusting.
